• Mutual Funds Fees

    Mutual Fund Management Company charges the following to fund the expenses

    • Entry Load: This fee is charged by the fund management at the time of buying the mutual funds and expressed as a percentage of the net asset value. Normally it is kept as low as 0.1% to 0.5% depending on the type of the mutual fund.
    • Exit Load: This fee is charged by the fund management at the time of selling the mutual funds and expressed as a percentage of the net asset value. Normally it is kept as low as 0.1% to 0.5% depending on the type of the mutual fund. For some mutual funds entry load is kept as zero with higher exit load to get more customers. Exit load is decreased with time and can become zero after certain period of holding the mutual fund to increase long term investment in those funds.
    • Other Fees: Mutual Fund management sometime charge other fees like yearly maintenance charges and administrative fees to manage all the assets and investment process of the mutual fund. These types of charges vary from fund to fund and depend on the fund management companies.
